Studio Carpentry approached us with a clear ambition: to bring their visual identity and digital presence in line with the quality and intention of their work. Founded in 2013 and operating from a fully equipped 4,000 sq. ft. studio in Livingston, they had built a strong reputation for bespoke, made-to-measure joinery. What they needed was a brand that felt equally considered. We began with brand development, working closely with the team to define the foundations of their identity: purpose, values, tone of voice, and visual language. From there, we shaped a refined identity system built around quiet confidence and honest craft. The primary wordmark draws on a carefully chosen serif typeface, balancing tradition with modernity, while a restrained colour palette rooted in earthy, natural tones reinforces the studio's connection to material and place. To support consistent communication across every touchpoint, we produced a comprehensive brand guidelines document covering logo usage, colour, typography, and digital application. The system is intentional and adaptable, designed to grow with the studio without losing its grounding. The website design followed the same principles. We created a bespoke platform with clean layouts, generous white space, and a visual hierarchy that lets the work lead. The result is a digital presence that feels natural to the brand: honest, composed, and built to last.
